A personal trainer (PT) is a certified individual who has the knowledge, skills and ability to design safe, effective exercise programmes tailored to the client.
The average personal training session lasts between 45 and 60 minutes, it will be tailored to your needs and ability, focused on your specific goals and can be flexible around your schedule.
If you also happen to be receiving treatment from one of our practitioners, your PT programme can be prescribed in accordance with your practitioners recommendations to ensure that you are training safely toward healing your specific ailments.
Feel free to bring your own mat and towels with you for use during the session.
A personal training session is usually 45-minutes to an hour, depending on the tailored 1-2-1 program that you and your PT have arranged.
During your first session, you might find that your personal trainer will measure your body (height, weight ect.) and ask you to perform some basic exercises in order to evaluate and record your fitness level. This is just about understanding your baseline ability, as well as a way to keep track of your progress.
Make sure to wear proper attire, similar to what you would wear at the gym. Breathable and lightweight is always best, combined with non-slip, supportive trainers. Make sure to bring your own towel and a drinks bottle!
