Good things come to those who wait...
Massage can help your body and mind to go into rest and repair mode. Emotional, mental and physical tension is stored in the muscle tissue, and skilled massage applied to the soft tissue encourages the muscular and nervous systems to relax, helping release stress and tension.
Massage relieves pain and spasm, helps reduce fluid retention, stretches tight tendons and increases blood supply. It can also increase blood flow, and keep your lymphatic system working at peak efficiency, flushing out toxins from your body.
Our therapists offer a variety of massage treatment sessions in the clinic including Sports / Deep Tissue Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Aromatherapy Massage & Indian Head & Shoulder Massage, all tailored to your needs.
Sports / Deep Tissue Massage applies slow but firm pressure to reach deeper layers of the muscle and the fascia. This is a targeted form of bodywork designed to improve performance, aid recovery, and treat muscle tension or injury. While both techniques use firm pressure, Sports Massage is more goal-oriented (performance, injury prevention), whereas Deep Tissue focuses on chronic tension and deeper muscle layers.
Therapeutic Massage is a responsive, collaborative treatment designed to support pain relief, tension release and overall wellbeing. The therapist will blend a range of massage techniques, and understand whether you benefit from deeper, more targeted work or a lighter, more relaxing approach. This supports circulation, mobility and nervous system regulation, allowing the body to soften out of habitual holding.
Aromatherapy Massage is a deeply calming, sensory-rich treatment tailored to you. A bespoke blend of essential oils is chosen to support emotional balance, ease tension and gently regulate the nervous system. Massage pressure is always adapted to suit you, from slow, light and soothing to deeper work, supporting vagal tone and helping the body shift from stress into rest and restoration.
Indian Head & Shoulder Massage focuses on areas where tension and mental load commonly accumulate, the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face – especially around the jaw muscles. Pressure is adapted to suit your needs, helping release tension, quiet the mind and support nervous system balance and ease.
For most massage treatments you will need to remove some items of clothing. Your therapist will advise you on that and leave the room for you to get changed. You will be provided with towels to cover yourself on the couch and to keep warm. Extra covers and a heated couch cover will be available during the treatment if required.
Feel free to bring your own towels with you for use on the treatment couch during the session if you prefer.
