Wendy is a holistic therapist and reflexologist. As chronic stress is at the heart of so many health problems, Wendy’s main interest is in providing relaxing treatments that calm the system down, enabling the body to go into rest and repair mode.

Having been interested in massage since early adulthood, I was inspired to learn the skill after receiving my first massage, which, as luck would have it, I had won in a raffle at work at a time that I felt particularly stressed. It felt such a beautiful, relaxing experience that I wanted to be able to offer the same gift to others.

Since qualifying in holistic massage in 2015, I have continued to develop professionally as a therapist, adding to my skills and knowledge through training and learning, including qualifying as a reflexologist in 2019. I am registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), so you know that I am qualified and insured.

I have a special interest in working with clients with chronic exhaustive conditions, such as burnout, ME, chronic fatigue syndrome, post-viral fatigue syndrome and long COVID. I can provide coaching and/or treatments to support your return to greater wellbeing.

The therapies that I provide are all holistic, which means that they entail working on the whole person, body and mind, to promote health and wellbeing. My aim is to facilitate the release of physical and mental tension in order to restore balance, and most of my clients use massage and/or reflexology as part of their regular self care. In line with the holistic ethos, an appointment is about more than the actual treatment. It also involves guidance on lifestyle change to promote health and to enable you to regain a sense of wellbeing.

In my spare time I enjoy keeping physically active in order to feel good, balancing the stimulation of running, swimming and cycling with the more calming practices of qigong, tai chi and yoga. I love learning about health and wellbeing, so I usually have a book related to that on the go as well as listening to health-related podcasts and radio.
