I have always been passionate about health and wellbeing. My early career began in the sports and leisure industry, where I held various administrative and management positions. At 24, following the unexpected passing of my father, I decided to take some time off to travel. This journey played a crucial role both in helping me to process my grief and introduced me to diverse cultures, spiritual traditions, and health models.
Over a 2 year period my travels took me through Asia, Australia and New Zealand. It was during this time that I began to practice yoga, meditation, learn about Ayurveda and received many wonderful thai yoga massages. My desire to be a therapist grew, and I was keen to share everything that had helped me so much.
In 2000, I graduated from the University of Westminster, London with a BSc in Health Sciences and Complementary Therapies. This education provided a solid foundation for my practice, blending intuitive understanding with the knowledge of Western science and Eastern traditional systems. Over the next few years, I dedicated myself to personal development and practitioner training, whilst continuing to explore different parts of the world, understanding how different cultures experience and treat illness and promote wellness.
As I developed my practice, I brought therapies into the corporate world and enjoyed many seasons working at some of the UK’s largest music festivals. Between 2010 and 2013, I volunteered with the charity Healing Hands Network, offering therapies to civilian survivors of war in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Each year, we’d spend two weeks offering trauma support through deep tissue massage, Reflexology and energy work and I was touched by the dignity and grace of the people, despite the horrors they endured.
